Cleaning the carpet is an activity done mostly outside, a thing that in pandemic times seemed rather forbidden. All the germs and the filth coming out of it are the things that we really tried to avoid. With this Instagram filter, the lines between the real and the virtual world were blurred even more. By beating the carpet, people remove the dirt and the dust. By choosing a manual and labor intense way, Nicoleta is questioning our social configurations from a romanian pop-culture perspective."
